April Preventive HVAC Cleaning

This April, make some easy cleaning adjustments to your home to keep the environment clean and your HVAC in a good working mod. Here are a few of our favorite tips for spring cleaning in 2021.

1. Regular dusting

Keeping up with a regular dusting routine can help prevent dust and dander from getting into your HVAC system. Keeping your indoor spaces clean can also contribute to maintaining good indoor air quality and preventing occurrences of allergies.

2. Gardening

The more you garden, the more you’ll learn about what works and what doesn’t. For a start, clear vegetation and remove any debris that may have blown up during bad weather. While you are doing that, you might as well clear around your A/C. That way, you will secure a better performance. It’s vital to keep a minimum of two feet of clearance around the A/C unit outside your home.

3. Rearrange your furniture

Many factors play a role in successful furniture arrangement. Furniture can create a natural break in larger rooms and divide them for separated purposes. While you are rearranging, check all the vents and registers in your home. Open them, unblock them and make sure you don’t place a rug or a piece of furniture on them to ensure proper airflow and uphold system performance.
